With the rising costs of pubs and restaurants more and more of us are finding that we prefer to host our friends at home. So, what better way to bring that in-bar experience than with a well-stocked and stylish home bar?
If you are space restricted, we’ve came up with the ideal design solutions for the compact bar.
THE UNDERSTATED BAR
Commonly found nestled in some open cupboard space or against a bare wall, the understated bar is a small accessory to your kitchen/ living area.
To begin decorating, we would recommend the use of a plain and muted backdrop such as Selkie White Gloss and Luna Marble. The added benefit of both choices is that they wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent, ideal for those spillages.
Keep lighting very bright and neutral with the rest of the space.
Your choice of bar can then opt for an antique style serving trolley or alternatively an upcycled chest of drawers, as pictured above.
And remember if you are restricted for space, shelving is the perfect solution.
